A Pleasant Stay at Kuilima
Our group of four (two couples) stayed at this property for four nights and had a great time. The kitchen was nicely updated and the living area and bedrooms were spacious enough. The property was a 12 minute walk from the main Turtle Bay resort, beach, restaurants, etc. which was very convenient. The property had also recently been sprayed for bugs when we arrived and we did notice numerous bugs while visiting, but this could be fairly standard for first-floor properties of this type (this was our first experience on Oahu so cannot say for sure). Overall, the property suited our needs perfectly, even if some if the amenities could use updating. We would recommend to other prospective guests.

Unit needs soup bowls for at least 6 people, a mixer or whisk. More toilet paper and more paper towels. As in most units, screen doors barely work.
We noticed baby cockroaches in the cutlery drawer. No icemaker and only 2 ice trays.

3 night stay at the Estates at Turtle Bay.
Overall, we had a good experience. The unit was clean. However, the unit we were in lacked maintenance. For example, the latch for the entry screen door was broken and looked like it had been for a long time. I had to use a cord and tie it closed to keep critters from possibly coming in and still allow for a breeze. The main level bathroom rug was tattered and appeared to be less than clean. We had a gecko in the lower bedroom on two occasions. They appeared to be coming and going from the area near the AC unit. The patio furniture was decorative only and nothing a person could sit on for more than a minute or two. It would have been nice if some adult beach chairs could have been provided. The kitchen was great but filters for the coffee pot would have been appreciated. You forced us to spend $3 or $4 for two additional filters. We probably would recommend TB Estates to a friend but not the property we were in.

Nice relaxing week at Turtle Bay
Everything about our rental experience here was top-notch. The rental agency hanled our booking expertly, told us everything to expect, delivered on every promise, and made everything about the rental experience smooth, easy, and predictable.
The unit we rented (Alea) was exactly as advertised. Clean, modern fully stocked, and perfect for two couples.
There was a problem with the sink garbage disposal, but we called the rental agency and they dispatched a serviceman quickly, and he he cheerfully and professionally fixed the problem.
If you're a serious cook, you'll find lots of basic cooking implements lacking here, so bring your own if you can.
The upstairs bathroom has only a shower stall (no tub) and it's really tight, so you may have a hard time in there if you're big. Also, the shower dial is kind of tricky and it's a very fine line between cold and scalding hot, so be careful about that too.
But we loved this place and would definitely rent it again.

Overall this was a nice place and I would recommend it to my friends.

Turtle Bay Alea
For the same price as a hotel room, we had two bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. Very quiet, we couldn't hear noise from neighbors on either side of us. The landscape was peaceful and beautiful, the beach a short walk. And LeiLeis restaurant was great, as well as the BeachHouse at the resort.

easy to rent and check in and check out. It's a nice walk up to the resort to do the painting classes and overall had a nice relaxing time. Would rent here again. It's so much less congested than Honolulu - really enjoyed the North Shore

Great escape from Honolulu
A great place for family of 6. Fantastic location, close to all the great things Turtle Bay has to offer, beaches, restaurants, small hotel shops and nature hikes. The rental was comfortable with kitchen stocked with all the basic dishes etc. This is older 70’s development so air conditioning and fans not the best, but we didn’t need them with breezes blowing through. Washer dryer available. Instructions from rental agency clear and concise for arrival and departure. This is a great escape without going to neighbor island.

Lovely accommodations and plenty of room
The Estates at Turtle Bay was a nice way to vacation. The condo area is secure, and our condo looked out over the golf course. The beach was a 10 minute walk, and was lovely. Our family likes condo vacationing because you eat out less and can eat a little more healthfully. The kitchen was just right and was well equipped. I would definitely recommend staying here.

My family gathering was a huge success. We rented several condos in the area and made one condo as our home base. Many family members came from the

This is a lovely place! Specifics: (1)When we pulled up, it was very late/dark, so we had a hard time initially finding the correct condo. Management could consider putting lights on/near the signs. Once you get the hang of the property though, finding your way around is a breeze. (2)The place was clean and airy! The only complaint - the upstairs carpet should be replaced soon, as it was a bit musty. I would not recommend walking on it with bare feet. The downstairs, however, is a dream complete with a beautifully upgraded kitchen and flooring. (3)The views - just perfect! A short walk to the beach, a barn nearby with friendly horses, beautiful pathways that lead to all sorts of fun things (especially the giant Banyan tree), and sunsets. (4)The pool - they obviously take great care of it! No complaints here whatsoever. Very child-friendly too. (5)Property Management - decent. There was confusion on the parking situation since we needed two parking spaces. The paperwork stated verbatim: "I will need 2 parking spaces (West side of the property only. Only one is a reserved spot) East side must get a second parking pass from the Resident Manager or Security." Well, we stayed on the West side, yet only got 1 pass. So we parked the other car in 'guest parking'. Thankfully, the office (down the road!) was still open when we received a note on our car regarding a tow. We were able to get another parking pass just in time, but stress could have been avoided if the paperwork was clear. Additionally, it took 24 hours for them to send someone to fix the broken latch on the screen door, as well as the ceiling fan that offered a consistent tortuous squeak. The man who came to fix the issues however, was professional and kind. (6)Amenities - buy your own laundry detergent (because chemicals = yuck) when you get there; pick up extra toilet paper and trash bags. Also there was NO paper/pens for grocery lists, etc. A SWEET rental - a few minor tweaks and this place would be 5 star!!

Wonderful Stay at Turtle Bay
Our family had a wonderful stay at The Estates at Turtle Bay. The location on the North Shore is fantastic; it's a short drive to wonderful beaches, shopping, hiking, etc.. The property is secure and required a key entry, so felt very safe. The unit was in a great location overlooking the Fazio golf course, and the ocean in the distance, a five minute walk to the beach and the amenities of the Turtle Bay Resort (restaurants, bars, snorkelling, tennis, golf, etc.) Our unit, #81, has a newly remodelled, well equipped kitchen. The owners provided everything you will need for cooking, including coffee filters and salt and pepper. We brought our own cooking spices with us, which I would recommend. (The can opener did not work and should be replaced) The rest of the unit is older, but in decent shape and very clean. The beds provided were a bonus for our family (2 queens and 2 twins in the loft, so all 5 adults had a bed rather than a fold out couch) and are pretty comfortable, although one of the twins is tilted and in need of fixing) The fans in the bathrooms are very loud, and perhaps need replacing. The furniture was comfortable enough for the amount of time we spent at the condo. The lanai has a wonderful view, we enjoyed watching the golfers come by every day while having our morning coffee and evening drinks! The outdoor furniture is old and not very comfortable and should be updated, but it served the purpose for the 5 of us. One of the 3 pools on the property is right outside the unit which was very clean and well kept. We used the pool areas a few times, and were often the only ones there. (Note: There are no BBQ's on the property, only old fashioned grills at the pool area that require briquettes). All in all, it was just what we wanted in accomodation and we would definitely stay there again and recommend it for family and friends.

This was a great place to stay. Great location if you want to be out in the country and away from the city. Very clean, updated floors, kitchen and bathrooms. Washer & Dryer a plus. The unit was also right next to the pool and that was really great to not have to walk far to take a dip.

We loved everything about this rental and the management company. Our flight got cancelled and the airline could not get us there until a day after our original check-in date. The management company was wonderful to deal with and made an exception for us. Upon arrival we were happily surprised to see the unit was more spacious than we anticipated and the whole main floor had been remodeled with nicer appliances than I have at home! The master bedroom is huge and bathrooms were great for the 5 of us. The app the management company uses is great for communicating and finding nearby amenities. The unit looks out at the golf course and the ocean on the horizon; perfect for sitting on the lanai and watching the sunset. There is a pool just steps away and was great for after dinner swims. I work at an airline and am recommending this to everyone who wants to visit the North Shore. You won't be disappointed.

The condo only had 2 small problems, the microwave door handle was broken and the toaster didn't work properly. otherwise, we give this condo an A+. Very comfortable unit, quiet, and easy to access from parking areas. Close to pool as well. Easy access through secured gate. Unit's close dryer had an internal vent, so it heats up the loft, advice, don't do laund let just before you are ready to go to bed, the loft will be too hot.

detergent for washing machine was barely enough for one wash. garbage bags were too small for the garbage can in the unit.
we live here and have learned to bring out own stuff. for the summer months a couple of pedestal fans would be great as loft and dining area stay really warm and dont catch the overhead fan breezes. there were no directions that we saw on how to let others in once we were in the unit. we finally asked the security people.

We visited family for a wedding. The location was great. Property was well maintained, although it appeared to be time for the shower curtains to be washed. We wished there would have been wi-fi, but we didn't spend that much time on line anyway.

The Estates at Turtle Bay was referred to me by my neighbor. She loved it and so did I. The unit was located looking out over a beautiful golf course. The ocean was a short walk away. The unit was clean with plenty of room for the 4 of us. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Great place to stay for a family of 5. The stay was only for 3 days so we did not do any cooking. The condo was very spacious. The beach was close by and the little town a few miles away was great. Our 7 year old Granddaughter did not want to leave. The rest of our vacation days were spent in Waikiki.

Air conditioners in bedrooms didn't work really well but due to the temps during our stay they weren't a problem. the stove burners need to have the connectors replaced after using them a couple of times we had to readjust them to be able to cook.
Location was great for the price off the beaten path and quiet kids loved the pool.

The condo suited us very well. The location worked out very well for us. We spent a day at the Kualoa Ranch, a day at the Polynesian Cultural Center, a day at the swap meet, and a day at Pearl Harbor. We never used the pool, but it was very close to the room.

A Home Away From Home
The condos are in a perfect location. Ours was very clean. Loved the extras like laundry detergent, dishwash soap, paper towels, etc. Comfy beds. So pleased with our vacation. One minor change I might make would be to add a fan in the loft to help air circulate a little better, but nothing else. Thank you!

Why we keep coming back
We have rented here 4 times now and this particular unit twice. For the money it is a good value especially when there are 6 of you. We have come to expect geckos both inside and outside. The noise level mostly comes from the crashing waves. Even though you aren't right beside the water, you can hear the water. Noise from neighbours varies on who is staying around you. The maintenance crew keeps the area tidy. The rental agent is very helpful with any issue that comes up. Better quality cooking utensils would be nice but the basics are there. As to what to expect, keep in mind that these are older units in a tropical location and w/that in mind they are comfortable. If you are shopping at Foodland, get their customer card to save $. If we hadn't had a good vacation we wouldn't keep returning. After a week in Waikiki the peace and quiet here were welcome.

Turtle Bay Estates April 2013
Turtle Bay Estates is a nice place to stay if you are visiting the North Shore. It it very quite and well maintained. The condo we stayed in # 081 West was nice. It could use a makeover as things are a bit shopworn but it served our needs quite well. It is a very good bargain for he money. Don't know if we will go back to Oahu because of the terrible traffic but if we do will definitly stay at Turtle Bay.

Phenomenal overall experience!
Amazing value overall...the location was perfect, close enough to the action without being IN the touristy part of the North Shore. Extremely convenient for families, surfers (5 min drive to Sunset, 8 min drive to Rocky Pt and Pipeline), couples, golfers, and virtually anyone who wants a perfect place for a great, very reasonable price!

great condo
my family and I loved the stay at Turtle Bay. We surfed, rode horses and laid on the beach. We also explored the island from the convenient location of the estates. Had no problems with any aspect, beds were great, kitchen functional and views beautiful.

Golf Tournament Stay
We were there for a golf tournament at Turtle Bay and a group of friends and I stayed at the room. It was very nice, very clean, and more than we expected. The management company was kind and helpful. The shower upstairs was broken and had a hard time not getting scalded by hot water. The rest of the place was perfect. Other people who had a room at the hotel came down to hang out at the condo because it was such a nice place to hang out with friends. Thank You

the price is right
Considering the price this was a great place to stay in Oahu. I liked that it was away from Waikiki/the touristy area, and we got to have more time around locals on the North Shore. The beaches near Turtle Bay are also gorgeous and you have more time alone with nature. The condo itself was tidy, had the essentials, as well as a nearby beach and swimming pools that residents had access to. Overall, if you're on a budget I recommend this place!

Nice Stay-cation
We had a very nice time at the condo. The property was in good shape, although the master bedroom screen door was broken and unusable. Another thing that may be good is to have a doorstop available for the master bedroom door so that it doesn't keep slamming shut. These are just little things though that can improve the property a bit. I was very glad that the condo had a booster seat there for my toddler -- that was a nice surprise. Overall, we had a very nice time on our vacation there.

Great place for a family to stay!
Our family of 5 (3 kids 13,8, and 6) had a great time staying here for 5 nights. The condo has 2 bedrooms and a great loft which our two youngest enjoyed. The view of the golf course and ocean in the distance was relaxing and beautiful. We did not see any bugs or insects on our stay and the condo was very clean. As with any condo or home there are some signs of wear but nothing that prevented our stay from being great. The pool is steps away and warm for swimming. Kitchen worked well and saved us lots of money compared to eating out. We had a parking spot each night when we came back from exploring the North Shore. Loved our stay and we hope to come back again.

Finlayson School Review
This was an exceptional property and the condos were clean, roomy and above expectations. Having laundry facilities available was great and security staff were very helpful. We had 20 travellers and the condos catered extremely well for us. Very economical and lovely place to stay. Ka nui te pai.

Nice Location & Good Value but needs A/C in Living Room & Loft
This rental was a Long Weekend Stay-cation for us with our 2 adult children and their significant others to be close by the Polynesian Cultural Center to see the show Ha, Breath of Life and not have to drive home to Makakilo afterwards. The property is well kept and has a very relaxed, tropical Hawaiian feel to it – slow and Old School – a nice get-away from the town-side for us.
The condo was a comfortable size for the 6 of us. The unit is in generally good condition for a 30+ year old condo. Kitchen cabinets' doors are rickety and have musty smell. The unit has a nice view of the golf course and there’s a lot of guest parking in the front. 1 of the 5 pools is right out front too.
On the downside, from 12 - 6 p.m. the temperature of the living room and loft is unbearably hot. If you are going to be outside during those times, it may be OK for you. The 2 bedrooms' A/C units keep just those 2 rooms cool. This unit’s housekeepers did not clean it well before our arrival and the back lanai and outdoor furniture was filthy – it needs to be hosed down! The wired internet is extremely slow at 260kbps down.
The Turtle Bay Hotel's Beach is a 2 minute drive or 15 minute walk away. Hotel Parking is free for Beach Access or if you get it validated at one of the Hotel's Restaurants or Bars. The Hotels’ Beach is very nice for swimming and sun bathing. The rest of the beaches in this area are rocky in the water.
The amenities at the Turtle Bay Hotel are 1st class – 5 restaurants and 2 bars, along with a full service Spa – all pay as you go for guests from the condos. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual except for the 21 Degrees North Restaurant which you would want to dress-up (Hawaiian Style) a bit for. We enjoyed Lei Leis restaurant at the Golf Clubhouse the best. One of the owners, Ian was there that night “talking story” with everyone. It made us all feel like we were at a house party, not a restaurant.

comfortable stay in Turtle Bay
I stayed in Turtle Bay condo for 3 nights with my family (6 persons). It was very comfortable and convenient to stay.
Rooms are very clean (carpet, furnitue, bedding, etc.). I used high-speed internet easily.
The pool is small but children enjoyed swimming very much.
A part of the cooker and the cutlery was not too good conditions. Tap of kitchen didn't work well. The noise in the neighboring house was sometimes anxious.

Very affordable but definitly 5 star quality simply because fo the location - Our Condo was on the fringes of the Turtle Bay Country club - Spectacular sunsets over the Pacific ocean - simply fantastic
