I stayed 2 weeks at Turtle Bay 126. I found the property clean and well-maintained. Although the property is 1970's vintage, the owner has done a nice job with the interior painting and general upkeep. The appliances are modernized and metal surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom are rust free thanks to good maintenance. While it is a 13 step stairway to the loft bed, I found the sleeping are quite comfortable. The TVs worked well with a decent choice of apps and channels and the furniture was quite comfortable. The residence was perfect for my stay and location excellent. It easily supports 2 people, but might be a bit crowed with more two legged creatures.. I also found the administration at Turtle Bay Estates quite helpful with any problems/questions. I had a wonderful stay and hopefully will return next year!

Check in and check out was simple, the unit was clean well equipped and a great size for two people. The unit does have older furnishings, but it was fine.

Had an enjoyable stay in unit #126 at Turtle Bay West. Very clean unit and everything was as advertised. The only thing to note is the low ceiling in the loft bedroom...which could be an issue if you're a tall person. Otherwise, it's a great, affordable unit to rent. You can walk to nice beaches, hiking trails, and restaurants.

The staff at the Estates were friendly and professional. My one recommendation is that they need to make the guests aware that they are required to have a parking pass on display in their car. The pass should be left in the unit with the gate fob. We received a notice on our car that we needed one. That information was not included with the list of do's and don'ts that was sent to us.

Our stay was very relaxing. The accommodation was exactly as described and we were very pleased.The upstairs bedroom was quite hot but given the weather, this wasn't surprising. Thank goodness for air conditioning.

Got there and the gate code did not work. after a call to the office (answering machine) and a call back I got on to the property. Got to the condo and had two letters from the agent with different door codes. The second one I tried worked. After that the condo was as advertised and I had a great stay.

Very nice unit, great location, easy access to the parking stall. Instructions were clear, nice view of the golf course. Would stay again. Only thing is that there is a family of 8 living next door. Keep windows closed and turn on the A/C. If not for this, I would give a 5 star rating.

It's small but has everything you need and is in a great location. I will be staying with them again!!! AC wasn't cooling, thanks to trade winds wasn't an issue.

It's hard to find a cheaper condo in Hawaii that isn't falling apart. This vacation rental was perfect for us at a very reasonable price. The location at turtle bay was phenomenal. I can't think of any better unit for a budget traveler to stay in during their Hawaii travels. Everything was clean and the kitchen very well equipped. The AC worked well, plus there was a ceiling fan and a box fan upstairs as well that helped maintain airflow. The staff was very helpful and refined promptly to all of our inquiries. Overall this vacation rental was perfect for us.

The Estates at Turtle Bay provided a great studio apartment for my stay on Northern Oahu. The staff was friendly and we had a great location, less than 10 minutes walk from the beach. There were more than enough supplies provided for two people to make it through a five day stay. I would recommend The Estates at Turtle Bay to friends and family traveling to the area.

We arrived a bit after the office closed so we used the code and lockbox. Everything worked as planned. This is a 70-80's condo overall. The picture is the kitchen which has been upgraded. It's very tiny but worked just fine for a couple. Note there is a table for two in the kitchen to eat at, not much else. No condiments in the cabinets which was okay for us. The bath is also very small and in this case had not been upgraded at all. reminded me of the ski condos they slapped up around Mammoth mountain about the same time this was built. It was, very clean, though, and well represented. An added bonus was the stacking washer and dryer. The main living room was as expected. I'm not a big fan of carpet in Hawaii but it is a second floor condo so it was not unexpected. Be very careful going up the stairs to the loft. Very steep and of course the loft headroom was a problem for me at 6'3". Comfy queen bed up there and again everything was decorated simply and nicely. The air condo is a window unit which we ran at night and turned off during the day. It kept the loft okay to sleep in. The view out the condo was across two holes on the golf course out to Kam Hwy. No real noise from the street to speak of. We were able to walk a couple of late nights over to Lei Lei's, the golf course restaurant, for a nightcap. Its very dark with little lighting and a bit of a walk for those getting on a bit. Likewise, the main TB resort is a bit further. Keep in mind these condos are on the property but not affiliated with Turtle Bay. So, overall impressions were that the condo was a bit dated but very well maintained. Minor issues were not unexpected. We didn't spend much time there other than to sleep, make a little breakfast and get on with north shore activities. Its a good value place to stay. Don't expect Turtle Bay luxury because of the name but we expected that going in. Since it is at a very reasonable price we will probably stay here again if occasion arises.

We had a blast. The views were awesome and the location was perfect with parking close by. I liked the cute kitchen and the nice living area. The bed up in the loft was comfy and there was an overall good feel to the place and boy was the price right. I would recommend this place to anyone.!!

Everything you need to enjoy a weekend staycation and still feel at home.

This rental was exactly what I needed. It is a well kept space completely big enough for one but would be big enough for a couple for sure. It has everything you need from towels and chairs for the beach to anything you'd want in the kitchen. It was only a short walk to the public beach (5 minutes, tops) and the hotel. The staff was very friendly and made the experience easy.

I decided on staying here just one day before I arrived on the island from Portland Oregon.
The rental office people were very accomodating and professional.
The place was clean and perfect. I had a great time!!

Our vacation went well!
Althought the property was showing some age, we understood that going in, and the low price compensated for the less than perfect condition. Overall, very satisfied.

The condo met most of our needs but had two limitations that prevented me from ranking a 5 was the lack of a wifi for 2 working men who occasionally had to use the internet and computer. Also the loft bedroom gets quite warm and the A/C does not cool it down very much. I found that using the portable standing fan did help.nonetheless we had a great time in spite of the hurricane scares. We also found the Kahuku Grill was an excellent site with local ambiance and better food at 1/2 the price of any of the tourist restaurants at Turtle Bay.

Knowing we were going to spend very little time in the rental, there couldn't have been a better selection. The room was clean and comfortable. The rental did require some painting as it looked dirty in some areas and the electrical outlets don't like holding plugs of any sort but that definitely didn't ruin our stay. Excellent budget property.

Check in was not carried out according to the instructions, for first time stayers at the resort an agent should have taken us to the facility and given us a rundown on entry to the estate instead of leaving the keys in the condo and expecting us to figure it all out.

Condo was great, only downside was there was no wifi. Other than that highly recommend! Perfect for a couple, it was just what we were looking for.

need to repair dryer it takes about 20 mins of running to hear the noise. My wife loved the area that we stayed in. Did not have all the noise that down town would have had. Nice and quite. Will rent again. Next time a two bed room.

Overall very nice condo, only comments:
Sleeping area gets very warm during the day and even with the AC running it doesn't cool down to a comfortable sleeping temp (and we were there during the winter). Noisy appliances (fridge, washing machine). No phone.
Except for these minor details we had a great time and we would definetly come again, great value!!

Pipeline is 5 mins away

We stayed in the unit for two nights, hoping to catch the pipeline surf comp down the road a bit. Not far from it but may be nice next time to be closer. Found a dead bird sitting on the deck, fell out of a nest above. The toilet leaked onto the floor when flushed so we reported both of those items. The kitchen has coffee filters so no need to buy those and comes with plenty of kitchen towels so no need paper towels. Do need the other stuff like oil, butter, sauces... they have salt and pepper there. no foil, no kitchen bags or plastic wrap. Good location, pool is close. Kids live full time downstairs but unit it quiet. Simple and easy, has a boogie board and beach chairs too!

my only not positive comment would be that the family that lives downstairs from the unit we rented had children, they were quiet, but the Lady of the house yelled at them constantly. We never saw them, just heard her when the children were up and around.

verything was high quality and professional. We enjoyed everything about the rental.

Very comfortable space - Enjoyed 70's feel to layout(Kitchen quite modern and nice) Nice area with pools and tennis. Very friendly staff making reservations and dropping off keys. Woould stay here again (and hope to)

Enjoyed the condo we stayed in. I would recommend to my friends and family. I will definitely be back next year.

Overall it was very good. The upstairs was a little warm unless the condo was kept closed up during the day with the a/c @ 75 degrees on economy mode. Dryer adds heat to the unit and if done after 5 pm presents a challenge to cool off the loft before 10 PM. The grounds were exceptional. Front door lock was not engaging properly from the inside. Remote for the TV was challenging, which appears to be from former renters who did not treat it well. Internet access wasn't a problem. Thanks for a good experience.

We loved the property a little small in the bedroom but great in all other areas

This was the 2nd year we have rented a condo on this property. This unit was a studio w/ loft. the loft would not be safe for children or elderly. the stairs were dangerous and not up to code. the outside stairs were also uneven and not up to code. The kitchen/bath/living room were very nice. washing machine was not balanced and made terrible noise. Dryer was not vented outside and made the condo hot and humid. Everything else was in working order. The loft needed a small TV. The bed sagged a bit and the floor in loft needed some serious repairs. I would not rent this unit again next year. Six loud children live next door.
There is no wi-fi, but that was not an issue for us. Kuilima Estates is the best place to vacation on Oahu!

My family is from Oahu and I was travelling back to the state for my cousin's wedding at Turtle Bay Resort. My whole family rented several condos in the same complex and we had a nice family reunion this past Dec. The resort itself is quiet and relaxing with easy access to the golf course and beach. Everything that you would want in a very relaxing Hawaiian vacation. No traffic like in "town" (Waikiki), just a nice place to enjoy family and get a tan.
The condo I rented was very nice and clean. Nothing fancy, just a place to hang your hat. Renovated kitchen with utensils, washer/dryer and a loft area for the bed. Big ceilings so it didn't feel so tiny.
There were permanent residents below the condo but I didn't hear any noise from them. I ran into them a couple of times and they seemed like nice people.
Overall, if you're on a budget and want to enjoy a quieter, more relaxed Hawaii, I would definitely recommend this place. I didn't realize how relaxing it was until we moved to hotel rooms in Waikiki for the rest of our stay. I missed the condo and the easy atmosphere.

Overall this property was great,as I had a friend's wedding at Turtle bay resort. This property is easy 10 min walking distance from the resort and came in at about 1/3 of the cost of the resort!! There was also washer and drier so could catch up on my washing.

We enjoyed our stay, the condo is a little outdated, and the carpet needs to be replaced,the kitchen had new appliances and was nice. For the price it was a nice place.

I attended a wedding nearby and stayed here for two nights. Yes, the furniture and decor are a little out of date, but the place had everything I needed -- a fully equipped (and remodeled) kitchen, comfy bed, clean bathroom, and washer/dryer (though they were quite loud when running). This is a fine place to stay if you're spending most of your time out and about.

The property was great. We enjoyed our entire trip. The only thing we would change is the couch. It was old, ragged and torn. If the property got a new couch our stay would have been perfect.

I loved the location to where I had to attend the conference but i was a little put off by the condition of the carpet and the tears in the couch. It was a little dated and I thought it was a bit fraudulant considering the photos did not show this. i do understand these are rentals but still. I loved the fact there was beach towels and a chair I counld take down to the beach.

Our condo was excellent and worked out nicely. Walking distance to all the activities, pools, surfing, snorkeling, golfing, beaches, you name it! Close to Turtle Bay Resort restaurants and nightlife. If I have one complaint it is we chose this place because we could walk everywhere, unfortunately the rental office is off site 3 1/2 miles away so checking in/out without a car was an inconvenience. Why isn't the rental office on site?

Booked this room for a quick getaway and fell in love with the place. Although its a loft style condo, the place felt spacious while still maintaining separation from the kitchen, laundry room, living room, and bedroom loft. The condo was clean, readily furnished and supplied with laundry soap, kitchen appliances and dishware, and bedding. We had an unforgettable time and would recommend this property to anyone.

My spouse and I were in Hawaii for a wedding. The property was very conveniently located. We also did a lot of walking around to be tourists. The condo was very comfortable. It was very well furnished. The internet WIFI connection was a bit weak. Over all we had a great time.

I think they need to update their furniture. The couch was ripped and worn, but the location is perfect and the neighborhood is safe enough to walk around at all hours. We were within walking distance from Turtle Bay Resort and the beach which made it all worth it!! I would definetly stay there again.

Great place, even though the shower head felt like bullets and the drawers in the loft were broken, the condo in it's entirety was amazing! Great place! Stocked really well and for such a low price too!

My fiance and I stayed at the Estates for 5 days, 4 nights. It was wonderful! The property was well cared for and had everything that we needed! Our only bummer is that we thought we read we had rights to use the amenities on the Turtle Bay resort property (pool, gear and such)and came to find that that was not true. It all worked out anyway and we had a grand time! We were still able to eat at the restaurants and watch the sunsets and the like- We recommend it! Thanks so much!

Property was old, couch torn, carpet stained and the housekeeping was terrible!

126W is a dated studio. Kitchen has been updated but the rest of the apartment is 1990's. 4X4 tiles in kitchen and bath room but carpet in rest of studio. Carpet is dirty with large spots and worn. Bathroom is clean but dated. Stairs to loft are killers at night. Loft ceiling is separating from the rafters with holes directly over the bed. If you are worried about spiders or creepy crawlies falling on you in the night..... On the flip side it was very inexpensive. Outside Turtle Bay grounds were perfect as always with golf courses in perfect condition. The resort was booming and impossible to tell they just came out of bankruptcy everything looked pretty good for April. Long and short you get what you pay for. If this is for the perfect honeymoon get a different condo. If you are a frequent visitor to Turtle Bay/North Shore and want a very inexpensive crash site this is fine.

As a result, the property management found us another condo with a working internet...this property is lovely as well. We stay here at the estates at least once a year and love the location and the condos. Thank you!

Not a good condo for children or elderly people, bedroom is in a loft with steep staircase. Furniture is worn out and dirty.

We enjoyed staying at Turtle Bay Estates! Convenient location to stay when visiting all North Shore attractions. Our unit could have been cleaned better and the furniture was worn - but overall we had a great stay. The kitchen appliances are new and worked great!

The stairs to the loft are a bit slippery and a bit difficult to manage coming down. My partner slipped and fell the bottom portion of the stairs twice....once getting a rub burn on her arm trying to grasp the armrail. The only way to manage the stairs was to go down sideways!

We took advantage of a three-day weekend to get away with friends for two days of golf. The Estates gave us a reasonably priced venue with everything we needed. The unit was right on the No. 3 fairway of the Fazio course, making the view very nice and the setting very quiet. Can't wait to do this again!

Weather was the worst in 11 trips to Hawaii, my fifth to the north shore of Oahu and 4th at Kuilima Estates. Need to fix the burned out lights. Watch your head when going up to the loft. Handle on refrigerator is loose, as well as the door lock on the main entrance.

Nice golfcours view, but very noisey ground keeping early morning 5:am

couldn't find a switch or circuit breaker in condo 126 to give power to the microwave. otherwise very nice, just a bit out of the way for our island itinerary. condo is not near the address of the management office in Kahuku -- it's 4 miles further north.

Although we live on Oahu, this vacation rental allowed us to feel like we were visiting another island. We enjoyed our stay and was pleased with all the amenities, including a washer & dryer and a fully furnished kitchen.

Great location with several very nice beaches within 10 minutes or so. Close to Wiameia(?) Bay, which is great for snorkeling. No complaints on the condo - it's old but 126W has been recently updated and is pretty nice.

We loved staying at Turtle Bay. The resort was absolutely beautiful. The location was perfect and so nice to be away frow the city. This condo was small enough for the two of us and didn't feel cramped at all. The air conditioning worked great and we were very comfortable. We would definately return for the low rate and high quality service!!!

Property and furnishings are somewhat dated but very adequate. Proximity to Turtle Bay Resort was a plus. Certainly could not beat the price. I would stay here again.

How can I complain? We had all we needed. It's not a top-notch millionaire feeling place, but it's cozy, clean, quiet, convenient, appealing and affordable! We loved it. It had a great kitchen area, a washing machine and dryer, three beds (counting the pull out), nice view of the golf course, just a skip and a jump over to the Turtle Bay resort and beach (so you don't have to pay to park there, you can just walk from your apartment). The location is great for all the local beaches: 10 min to Waimea and Sharks Cove, 10 min the other way to Laie. Eating out is so expensive in Hawaii, so it was nice to have a great big fridge so that we could go shopping at the local grocery store and put everything at our place. We loved it!

The only suggestion I would have is for the owners to leave some games or tennis rackets for the courts, which are right next to the apartment. We give it a 9.5 out of 10.
